Sustainability x Business: What it really takes

This may be a modest size survey but still some food for thought upon scanning through the results.

It’s going to be really tough to come up with credible business strategies aligned to sustainability goals if…

  • We think it’s down to having adequate budget (which will probably never happen),

  • If we think we simply need to hire the right talent (and let the poor soul navigate our collective inertia), and

  • If we think the implementation can be conveniently passed off to a sustainability committee (so we can get on Real business).

Sustainability is really business itself. Nobody tries to build a business that isn’t sustainable. With the movement today, we’re just trying to reclaim a few important elements that we’ve neglected.
